OnGray is a visual representation of a writers creative process – a look inside the mind of a writer meant to give the viewer glimpses of the developing characters, setting and story. It is, like the creative process itself, intended to be a story left open to the viewers own interpretation.

“OnGray is a project that developed from the simple desire to do something random and creative with friends. Creative collaboration is at the core of much of my work. Projects that allow me opportunity to connect with fun (often brilliant) creative people and to develop something that creatively is beyond what any one of us could have schemed up on our own – that to me is an ideal shoot… and a very fun way to spend a day. The original concept for this project was to gather a handful of people together to experiment with a few image ideas I had in front of a plain studio backdrop (the backdrop I was using was called “Thunder Gray” which is where the title of the project came from). As the idea developed it started to grow; taking on a vintage feel and soon involving stills, motion and a cast/crew of about 15 people.” – Dave Delnea
